Focus on my objects and sculptures is the examination of various materials such as wood, steel, metal scrap or found pieces. The starting point is either the idea to implement a certain topic plastically, or the pulse is triggered by the material itself.
The figurative representation with different materials and often minimalist implementation is always in the foreground of my work: either with a humorous twinkle in the eye as in the “paint tubes series” or even with a quite serious, socio-critical view as shown in the artwork on refugee issues.
"Chronologically" does not necessarily mean that the artworks originated one after another. I often work on several projects at the same time. This is due to the substantial implementation and/or the processing of the materials. The primary idea of a work may change in the development process and lead to completely new results. The processing of the materials takes its time. For example: different coat of paint, oxidation processes etc. It often takes a long time until a work is "finished".
